Independent Study

This class if offered to students who have completed many of the Tech Ed courses, but still wish to continue working in the technology lab setting. Students are given the opportunity to work as lab assistants who work primarily on independently designed projects while also working with other students and completing projects to enhance the Tech Ed department. Students must apply with the Tech Ed department and be prepared to list ideas of projects they wish to complete. Grades for independent study are based on achievement of goals set by the student and the instructor prior to the beginning of class.

Credits:  ½ -1

Recommended Grade Level:  11, 12

Length of Course:  1 semester or 1 year

**Prerequisite:  Students must complete all course related to the area they wish to have an independent study. Students must also have signed instructor permission to participate in an independent study.
